If you are in Britain when reading this at this time then you know it is currently the summer holidays here and well for me they've been pretty much sitting around in loungewear being an unsociable little so and so. But there has been a bonus to these holidays, I have had a lot more time to watch TV. So today I thought I share some of my TV obsessions I have.
Sherlock
Now if you haven't heard of the Sherlock Holmes stories then you've probably been living under a rock most of your life but this TV program took sir Conan Doyle stories and made them into a highly successful modern British TV show.
I am officially a Sherlockian, I have been from series 1 and have always loved the series and personally if they don't release the new series soon I may implode. If you haven't seen it WATCH IT WATCH IT NOW!!!! Quick side note Benedict Cumberbatch is probably the amazing human being to grace this earth and personally I will always be a Cumbercookie.
Doctor Who
As you can begin to see there is a theme here, I do like a LOT of the fandoms that are around and these are one of many. Now as you guys may have heard a new doctor was announced recently after the lovely Matt Smith announced he was leaving (sniffle), introducing the new doctor, Peter Capaldi, good luck to him and I'm sure he will carry on the doctor's name with pride. Am I getting too nerdy?!
I have been watching a lot of the episodes again lately preparing myself for the 50th anniversary episode airing this Christmas. Not that i'm excited at all.
Toddlers and Tiaras
Yes I have fallen into the deep dark hole of trash TV and Toddlers and Tiaras is way down in the deep dark hole. i am aware how controversial this program is as most episodes we see a 2 year old with a spray tan and fake eyelashes the size of tarantulas on their little face, walking around in a dress that probably weighs the same as them in jewels with a fake smile painted across them. But I think the thing that makes them so addictive to watch is that they are so ridiculous they are almost funny how competitive the mothers are, and occasionally you do get the adorable little girl.
CSI NY/Miami/LA or Criminal Minds
I absolutely love anything CSI, I don't even know how I got into it but I know I've loved all things CSI for about 3-4 years now. I have recently become obsessed with criminal minds, mainly for Spencer Reid but the program is amazing and if I could I would watch that all day long.
